Service Club Beverage Sales Program

The Norfolk Festevents Service Club Beverage Sales Program is an opportunity for service organizations and charities to raise funds through the sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at our events.

Our current policy is to donate 25% of the net proceeds from beverage sales to the organizations that participate. Each organization participates in several events throughout the season. Over $1,000,000 has been donated directly to local charities as a result of our programs and, depending on the weather, it grows by about $60,000 each year. Local organizations like CANDII, CHKD, Down Syndrome Association of Hampton Roads, The Dwelling Place, Little Creek Lion's Club and Tidewater Association for Hearing Impaired Children all benefit greatly from the fundraising opportunities and the social experience their members receive. This program is a model for other event production organizations across the country.

Organizations must have at least 40 members, must be a non-profit organization registered with the IRS or donate their funds to a non-profit organization.

The letter of intent should include a brief bio of your organization, a contact name, address and phone number. The contact person will be invited to our Service Club Informational meeting traditionally held in mid-November. The complete application requirements will be distributed at that time. Our Board of Directors selects approximately 20 Clubs from the applicants in January. The Clubs are notified of their acceptance or denial in late January. Event dates are randomly selected for the Clubs in mid-February. Our event season typically runs from May thru October. Checks are distributed at the end of the season, typically in early November.
